ORDERING A PRELICENSING CLASS IN 2010

Each line of insurance (Life, Acc. & Health, Property and Casualty) requires successfully completing a certified 20 hour course prelicensing course, 7.5 hours of which must be obtained through classroom instruction.

 During the daytime class our students receive concise and targeted information for any of four lines – Life, Accident & Health, Property and Casualty- and by night they can sharpen their skills online, receiving immediate feedback to eliminate testing and concept weaknesses, by utilizing the finest web-based prelicensing review and exam simulation system in the United States.

Early Registration and payment is encouraged since space is limited to the first 24 to 40 paid registrants, depending upon location.

All prelicensing programs are available for “IN-HOUSE” training if your group is of sufficient minimum size.  We can also show you how to use our method to hold prelicensing classes at your company or agency with your own instructor that we train.  All instructors must meet the requirements as specified under Illinois law.

SELF-STUDY:

Full self study to complete prelicensing is no longer allowed as of January 1, 2010 in Illinois and 7.5 hours of classroom instruction, per line, is mandatory.

COURSE MATERIALS LICENSED THROUGH ABLE INCORPORATED

As of January 1, 2010 Dohrn will use materials licensed through Able Incorporated which will also include the use of Able’s renowned exam simulation and web-based training expertise.  When Dohrn’s classroom experience is combined with Able’s materials and online study methods we believe that passing on the first state exam try is more than a catch phase it, it is a reality!  Students will complete prelicensing by first attending a class through Dohrn and then by passing their course final online.  Paper exams will be available for students who do not own computers or who do not have computer access.

Our registration system is designed so that you can pick up your materials on the first day of your class. Shipping in advance of your class is available for an additional fee.

NOTICE: You will have 90 days to complete your prelicensing course once web-based training is accessed from a code provided to you in your course book or from the date of your initial prelicensing class date, which ever occurs first,.

OUR COURSE FEES

Include everything: your book, classroom instruction available Statewide, access to web-based study guides,  online practice testing, final exam and prompt reporting of your successful course completion. Courses fees are $209 for two lines (two days of classes) and $129 for a single line (one day of class).

PLEASE NOTE; As of this writing (12/10/09), we are working with ABLE Incorporated to create a complete online registration system which will be available on www.dohrnit.com in the near future.  Until this system is operational we will be accepting payment using our traditional registration form.

2) BY FAX - using VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX or DISCOVER,

Fax your completed Prelicensing Registration Form, with payment information to:  (847) 455-1153.  You must complete the form yourself and sign where required.  Sorry, but for your protection and ours we do not take verbal credit card orders over the phone.  All prelicensing course purchases are subject to DOHRN INSURANCE TRAINING, INC.  PRELICENSING CANCELLATION, REFUND AND TRANSFER POLICY."

3) IN PERSON - stop in our office during business hours, Monday through Friday

from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and register.

4) BY MAIL - complete the attached registration form and return it with payment.  Money order or credit card is preferred if you desire fast course completion and certification reporting to the Illinois Department of Insurance.
